Hailey's First Birthday!!!

So our baby girl turned one year old on December 8th!! We just can't believe how big she is getting... and how much her personality is developing. Hailey is crawling around and "cruising" like crazy! I don't think she's too close to walking... not that we mind! =) Jake is fast enough, and she's pretty quick too! In fact if you leave the gates down she will make a dash for the stairs and her big brother follows as they both go giggling up the stairs until they are caught. =)
She seems to be getting new teeth and learning new things all of the time! Hailey is our little cuddler and she LOVES stuffed animals. She has a baby and a blankie she sleeps with every night... and she sucks her thumb. She's also quite the daddy's girl! But what do you expect? =) Anyway... here our some pictures from her birthday...

Almost 2!!

So Jake's 2nd Birthday is just around the corner and I need opinions on his birthday party. We are definitely going to have a party (of course!)... the question is the theme and which weekend works best for everyone. For the dates... we are thinking October 20th or the 27th. I like to do the birthday parties on Saturdays for family and friends coming from out of town. So let me know which is best for you! Ok for the theme... last year was Bob the Builder... he still loves Bob the Builder, but I hate to do the same theme two years in a row... not that he would notice. =) Too bad I didn't save everything. Ok so the other things he's into- cars (the movie and cars/trucks in general), nemo, the outdoors, and all the normal toddler boys stuff. My other idea... his birthday is a week before Halloween so i thought about a costume party. Any thoughts? Costumes would be optional for adults. =) Ok leave your thoughts!!

Fun times out west! =)

We just recently got back from our vacation to Oklahoma. We had so much fun going to visit Matt's family and seeing his old home town! Me, Jake, and Hailey got to meet Matt's uncle, cousin, and second cousins. It was so beautiful out there! The weather was great and we had so much fun spending time with everyone! We stayed with Aunt Becky and Uncle Bill and they took great care of us and fed us and drove us all over the state! =) We even went to the casinos and Bricktown! We made a special trip out to Weatherford where Matt was born and raised until he was about 8 (i think). Above is a picture of the house Mr. Steve built! Isn't it so nice?? Matt's trying to convince me to move out there and buy that house. Its nice and all, but we'll see! =) That aside, we had so much fun! Aunt Becky and Uncle Bill had a bbq and pool party for us and all the kids had so much fun! The kids played in the pools and on the slip and slide. It was pretty entertaining, and the food was delicious! We will definitely be going back to visit (if they can handle another visit from us, haha!). Thanks so much for everything Aunt Becky and Uncle Bill!!

Hailey is 8 months

Our little girl is already 8 months and getting cuter every day! She has 6 teeth and I think at least 2 more coming in. She has such a cute little personality. She LOVES her brother... as soon as he gets near her or talks to her she starts grinning from ear to ear. They are so much fun together. Jake is a little too active to sit and play with her for long periods of time, but sometimes he will grace her with his presence for a minute or two. =) Hailey is starting to stand holding onto things (the couch, our hands, etc) and she is able to scoot around on her belly. She is trying so hard to crawl, but hasn't quite gotten the hang of it. She is starting on real solid foods (she already does oatmeal, jar fruits and veggies) like bread, crackers, bananas, sweet potatoes, and she tried her first french fry yesterday. =) Her next check up will be at 9 months (September 8th), so I will update on her height and weight then. Other than that she is doing great and trying to catch up to her brother!

David and Danielle's Wedding

We had so much fun at the wedding! It was at a country club in Rehobeth Beach, DE on the water. The weather was perfect and they looked so wonderful! Here are a few pics...

We are finally home from our family vacation at the beach. It started out as a lot of fun, and ended with several cases of the stomach flu!
